Girlfriends, In Particular

“Pitching My Tent
on Marriage, Motherhood, Friendship, and Other Leaps of Faith”
Women’s friendships are, I think, one of the great secrets of the social universe. When you see pairs of women, sometimes threesomes or foursomes, from the outside, it might seem they are “just” having lunch, or drinking coffee, or walking around the...
Amaaaaazzzing Girlies!!
Once again, it’s been a while since I was here but today I’ve been catching up with the lovely people I follow…. and have been blown away!
So, what I’m writing about today is just how amaaaazzzzzzzzing I think you girlies are… and before anyone objects to the term “girlie”… I have decided to reclaim it from the realms of patronising mysogony &...

Musings
It’s been ages since I last posted - SO much has been going on that I’m struggling to keep up - I’ve thot several times of writing my thots here & then chickened out - who would read it? Today 2 people told me I looked good & “very well”. One was a friend & she said it as she was leaving, almost as an afterthought & she doesn’t flatter me so I thought that was nice of her.
The 2nd person was a man - older than me & someone I have been acquainted with for several years. He doesn’t usually make personal remarks so I was very surprised. When...
Day 2
Well, this still feels very strange but one must persevere with new experiences… so I’m told. I think it very much depends on what the experience is. For example, when Hamish the pooch yawns in my face & almost knocks me flat with his dog breath… that’s NOT an experience I want to persevere with. In fact, I positively avoid it becoming a regular occurence.
Anyway, I...
New beginnings
Today, with the gentle support of my 17 year old daughter, I signed up for tumblr. I have never blogged before, rarely read other people’s blogs & have often wondered why people choose to share their innermost thoughts with a world of total strangers. Well, maybe I’ll get some insight now!
Lots of things are changing in my life right now & I’m doing lots of thinking so it...
